The Can Casi guesthouse ist the brainchild of jewellery designer Emma from Barcelona. Here everything is colourfull, rustic and only eight minutes and thirty seconds away from the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Brava.
In Begur and the surrounding area, one and a half hours drive to the north of Barcelona, the world is still hunky-dory: there aren’t too many of the Costa Brava construction eyesores here, but very many lovely bays. A few kilometres from Begur lies the village of Regencos, that probably has 45 inhabitants and because of this, lots of charm. Another thing just outside the village, along a gravel road, the seasoned traveller can find the Can Casi, which was still a private residence three years ago, but today is now a Pretty Hotel. Jewellery designer Emma used to commute between this summer house and Barcelona, but then turned it into a hideaway, with colourful sun beds, a bar in a vintage caravan and five very amusingly furnished rooms. Well, sometimes the “Visual Statement”-cushions are a bit over the top (a “Smile” on a duvet doesn’t mean that you are automatically happy), but whoever returns home from a summers day on the beach in Begur and then drinks a cold beer in Emma’s garden, just can’t help being “happy” ( and probably “smiles” too).
Colourful couples who love colourful things and are either touring through Catalonia – or having a beach holiday for a week on the Costa Brava, but don’t want to spend all of their time on the beaches with the hordes of model tourists.
Definitely the Love-Room (the white one with its own terrace and an enormous bathroom).

The nicest beaches around Begur are Aiguablava, Sa Riera and Tamariu. Very lovely (but small) are also Hotel del Teatre in the centre of Regencos and Sa Rascassa in Begur, just 40 metres away from the water.
