Townhouse Nora, Salzburg / Austria

We like: The entrance of the historic building.

A sleeping room in one of the bigger apartments.

A dining area. Bright and creative.

Some have nice bathtubs.

…and a lot of space in the living room.

The beds are of highest quality.

.

A small kitchenette.

And always lovely details.

The Townhouse Nora is a wonderfully affordable, beautifully furnished apartment building, ideal for an individual Salzburg trip. Or it’s even a super location for you to set up a second home from home. A further plus is: the owners are really charming and also provide valuable tips.

Beware: We are visiting a major pearl of a tourist attraction on the edge of the Alps. Salzburg is so very popular because of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and its Festival Hall, that you have to watch out for the tourist crowds all day long. Nevertheless Salzburg is truly wonderful. The people who live in this tiny city say, it is one of the best places to live. Honestly we have to admit: They are right. And in less than 25 minutes you find yourself hiking through spectacular mountains or swimming in wonderful lakes (like for example the Mondsee, the Fuschlsee, or the Wolfgangsee).

The Building

Townhouse Nora is located right in the middle of the city centre – around ten minutes from the old town and the famous Getreidegasse. It`s one of these creative boarding houses, an apartment building with operators who discreetly look after their guests. This already starts at check-In, which is made as simple as possible in advance. The property itself: A town villa from the turn of the century (the 20th century), set back in the second row and surrounded by residential homes.

The Apartments

There are a total of five pleasantly furnished apartments in this lovely building – ranging from a studio with only 27 square metres living space up to a 95 square metre apartment with three bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to six people. All of them have wonderful, luxurious king size beds, a few have a stand-alone bathtub or a private terrace. A collection of beautiful photographs from the renowned artist Pia Clodi hangs in the corridors as well as the rooms.

Special

When you arrive there’s a personal welcome package in every apartment: A Heym Collections bag with an individuell city guide, informations folder, a pad to make notes and a few postcards. In addition there’s a 24/7-concierge service, which, however is not always present in the building, but is always available via a call or a text message.

Board

Basically all the apartments are suitable for self-catering and the kitchens are fully equipped. The girls from Heym Collections also offer to fill your fridge with pre-ordered products even before your arrival (“we-fill-your-fridge“-Service) – obviously a small fee is charged. Many of the guests order a breakfast basket, which is placed at the foot of the door early in the morning. Those who prefer the basics just order a few fresh rolls.

Prices

The smallest apartment can be had from 140 euros per night, the large one for up to six people costs from 180 per night plus final cleaning. However, they all have a minimum stay of two nights. P.S. There are further apartments run by the Heym Collections: The Villa Riedenburg and the Townhouse Tessa which lies opposite of hotel Sacher.
