The Casa Shelly is a new jewell in the crown on the southern most point of Spain and it fulfills all requirements to qualify as a real pretty hotel.
Again a little bit of geography: Vejer de la Frontera lies on the southern tip of Andalusia, about 60 minutes drive from Gibraltar, and the international airport of Sevilla is about one hour and thirty minutes away. The town comprises a hill of white houses, which pile up to form a work of art.
Up to now people stayed in the usual stuffy guesthouses in such historical towns, but since summer 2015 there is a new holy place here: the Casa Shelly, named after the street “Eduardo Shelly”, a pedestrian zone in the old town.
Both the creators of this jewell, Chris und Javier, have moulded seven wonderful rooms from these historical walls, including a wonderful patio in the middle of the property. Because Chris originally comes from Sweden, you will enjoy a design-mixture made up of Scandinavian restraint and Andalusian vitality.
A two-day visit during a round trip of Andalusia, or even: as a base, to explore the region around here. Costa de la Luz with its unspoiled beaches is only 15 minutes drive from here.
