The Marienhaus is set amidst the gentle landscape of Angeln, between the Schlei and the Baltic Sea. It’s part of the new Geilberg farmstead, which is currently being lovingly renovated and due for completion by December 2025. For anyone unfamiliar with the area: Angeln lies in the very north of Germany, between Kiel and Flensburg, nestled within one of Schleswig-Holstein’s most beautiful cultural landscapes.

The holiday house
The Marienhaus is a freshly and beautifully renovated cottage that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort. Solid wood floors, bespoke timber-framed windows and tastefully curated interiors – a mix of contemporary pieces and carefully chosen antiques – create a truly special atmosphere: stylish, cosy and utterly unique.
Speaking of space: the house sleeps up to 16 guests in twin and double rooms and comes with two kitchens. If needed, it can be split into two separate units (for 10 and 6 guests respectively) – perfect for large families, groups, or even seminars.
Equipment
The house has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two kitchens, a sauna and a fireplace. A breakfast service can be booked as an add-on (at an extra charge), as can full catering. WiFi is available throughout the house, and there’s also a projector on hand for any presentations.
The location
The Marienhaus enjoys a truly idyllic setting, surrounded by the gentle landscape of Angeln, and it offers one thing above all: absolute peace and quiet, and an abundance of nature. If it’s the buzz of mass tourism you’re after, look elsewhere, that absence is exactly what gives this place its charm. The Baltic Sea beach is around a 10-minute bike ride away, and the Schlei about eight minutes.
Rates
Depending on the season, the house comes for around 800 euros per night, please check their website for booking options and availabilities.
